ugh

I have to tell you, chapter 48 is a bit of a mess, what I would call poorly executed and unclear. I actually had to stop and make a timeline of the chapter - ie, how what happens when by whom. Once I did that, the gaps were obvious. Way too many what-the-heck moments. Like the scene where Gwydian, Quinn, and Hugh arrive at petticoat lane (remember, it's London, 1806, early April) where they find Darcy bound to metal bed. But how does he become bound? Who did it? Or the scene when Arlen arrives a short while later. What happened between those two periods of time? Clearly I had no clue - until this afternoon when I figured it out. Unfortunately it means I'm going to have to go back and substantially revise chapter 48. Ugh!

But don't let that fool you. Really, this is all I want to do.

What do you want to do most?

  2. Isn't it a great feeling when you get it figured out?

I'm in the same situation as you. Got lots of these types of holes to fill. Here's wishing us both good luck!

  4. Don't worry Huntress, I'm not giving everything away, no plot spoilers, just hints of what will happen. Certanly I won't tell you what happens to Darcy next, or what Arlen does. THAT would be a spoiler. And you'll ll just have to wait til the book comes out to read about it:)
