my favorite fictional places

Bag End, Hobbiton, The Shire ~ with its warren of rooms Bag End has always appealed to the part of me that would like a comfy chair next to a fire and a good book.

Rivendell ~ Ah, to make merry with the elves and hear their songs. Who could resist Elrond's hospitality? And I won't forget to stop at The Prancing Pony on my way for a pint.

Lyra's Oxford ~ Do I want my own Daemon? You bet I do.

Roke, Earthsea ~ Because I want to know the True Name of everything.

Shangrila ~ The perfect place to retire.

Hogworts ~ or any place in Harry's England - as long as I'm not a muggle.

Anita Blake's St. Louis ~ Dating might just be fun again.

Amber ~ Here lies the power to manipulate shadow to my own ends...

Ankh Morpork, Discworld ~ Dangerous, yes, but I promise to stay out of the Shades. In fact, I think I'll just tag along with Sam Vimes. He sounds like my kind of Watchman.

Newford ~ I supect I would find all my true friends here.
