Plan A

I know I've mentioned it before - my plan for the A - Z Blogfest - but today is the day I actually tell you that the theme I've chosen is the phonetic alphabet, as taught to me by my ex who served as a Marine. I remember him teaching me the words at night, like a littany...Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Gulf, Hotel, India, Juliette, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whiskey, Yankee, Zulu. It may not look exciting at first glance, but hopefully, you'll learn some interesting stuff you might not have known.

And if you signed up for the fest let me know what your number is so I can look for you. If you didn't, well, sit back and relax and get some writing done while the rest of us crazy people try to do too much :)

  1. Hmmmm ... very interesting, and I will bet you handled it very creatively!

As you know, I'm taking a break for April (mostly) and won't be posting much. But I do plan to stop by other people's blogs. I can't go cold turkey!

    1. the phonetic alphabet is used to make sure people understand you. For example the letters 'F' and 'S' can sound remarkably alike over the phone or radio but if you say F as in Foxtrot and S as in Sierra then it's clear. Now go get your coffee!!!

  5. Interesting. I'm writing about amateur radio, and my P post is "phonetic alphabet." (Although it almost seems like it oughta be the F post...) Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how you turn it into twenty-six posts. Looking forward to it.

  6. Interesting theme. I actually don't have one locked in place but I've decided that I'm okay with that.

    1. That is an interesting idea, yes. I'm just going to paint something for each day starting with the letter of the day.
