In the phonetic alphabet, Hotel represents the letter H. My trusty American Heritage Dictionary defines hotel as a public house that provides lodging and usually board and other services. Hmm, that's not quite what I conjure up when I think of the word. In fact, when I think hotel, I think like this:
Emirates Palace Hotel
The Millenium Biltmore Hotel - I'll bet it's pretty luxurious...
or this modern fancy...
but I'm thinking Greece - looks lovely, doesn't it?
I am enjoying your theme. And like the hotel pictures you chose. For some reason it seems like it would be more fun for me to photograph or draw these places than actually live in them. Give me a functional farm house near the beach any day!
They look gorgeous! I've always wanted to stay in a 1920s-1950s era hotel. The kind where Art Deco is eveywhere and it makes you feel like you've been pulled into the Bioshock video game :)
I'll take Greece anyday! LOVE that picture.
ReplyDeleteI know. I think it's one of the most intriguing pics I've found.
DeleteLove the hotels you've featured. I love the Negresco Hotel in Nice. Ooh la la.

ReplyDeleteew, yuck! THAT is NOT what I had in my mind, lol.

ReplyDeleteThat settles it, we should all just rent the place for a month and lounge and write happily in the Mediterranean sun :)
