So what did you do last night?

I went out to dinner with my awesome sister-in-law, had a great dinner at King Eider's Pub, and walked back to my house in the pouring rain. Luckily it was a warm summer rain, complete with lightning and thunder and the occasional flash of headlights.

Now it's just the rain coming down outside my window, steady, soft, accompanied by the distant rumble of thunder and the occasional thunk of an acorn dropping hard onto the deck. Makes me glad I'm not sitting out there without a helmet or something.

Anyway. Here's a nice pic my son sent me from where he was working on Yellow Tail Rd. in either Pemaquid or New Harbor, he wasn't sure.

Hope you're doing something fun :)

I'm on vacation and the day has just begun, so it should be fun.

  2. Cuddled up on the sofa with my hubby and cats to watch a really bad movie. Um, that wasn't our intention, but at least in my estimation, it turned out to be a bad movie. Way too much violence for my taste. But the cuddling was nice.

  3. Dinner then shoe shopping. Not fun shoes, practical shoes so it wasn't really all that exciting.

I love walking in the rain, but preferably in the woods under a canopy of trees, far away from those headlights you mentioned.

That photo is just... *le sigh*

    1. the headlights actually helped since it was pretty dark and on my road no streetlights. I'd be too scared to walk in the woods at night!

  4. Work for me today. But right now I'm going to make some coffee and have a double fiber muffin with cream cheese.

    Cheers and boogie boogie.

  6. Last night my husband, eldest daughter, and I went out to dinner at a local Chinese restaurant. (Youngest daughter is at the beach with a friend.)

I asked for the special that is always on the board and I order every time I go. The crochety waiter told me that was no good, and he would pick something else for me. I said, no thanks, I like that dish.

When it arrived, he hovered, and when I asked my daughter to pass the soy sauce, he told me it didn't need soy sauce. It would spoil the flavor. Then he removed the soy sauce from the table.

I might have pitched a fit, but instead we burst out laughing. This was a really old crochety guy, and he's been there forever. You just kind of have to put up with him. My husband stole soy sauce from another table and I used it when the waiter's back was turned. Geesh.

  7. What a great photo.

Hey, at least you got out on a Friday night. I've gotten hooked on British television series on Netflix. Last night I watched Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren. Good stuff. And, yes, I realize I live the most boring life and really have no business sharing details, but you did ask. :P

    1. I love British tv. Being Human is a good one - if you like paranormal. Oh and me getting out on a Friday night is as rare as snow on the the fourth of July. I hardly ever go anywhere. But it was fun!

  11. Lovely picture! It rained, thrundered, and lightning here in Florida for almost the whole day. But it didn't keep from a mini writing seminar and an afternoon with my grandsons. we went thrift shopping, ate pizza and subs for dinner and lunch. Got home at 10 PM last night.

    Hugs and chocolate,
    Shelly
