Winners, giveaways, and opportunities

First off, we have another winner in my great giveaway. Congratulations Susan! And if you don't know Susan you seriously must go check her blog out because it is funny AND informative. Yay Susan!

Second, YA Confidential is having a fabulous anniversary giveaway and a ton of great books to give away. Among them are two that get 5 big fat stars from me: THE MARBURY LENS and DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE. Go and enter, it only costs you your email address :)

Third are some great opportunities to submit your work for publications. The Warrior Muse has the links so go check them out and her; she's got a great blog, too.

And there are still two prizes left in my great give away, two weeks left to come over, say hi and throw your name into the hat for one of these:

Roget's Super Thesaurus (hardcover) or, Twilight, the complete set. Be a follower, leave a comment. It's that easy :)

ps In case anyone is interested, I am 13 pages away from my final revision and then it's back to my numero uno cp for a last read through before I start working on my query. What are you doing?

  1. Congratulations to Susan. And to you - only a few pages!

  2. Oooo only 13 pages away! Yay!!

And hooorah for Susan! Take care

  3. Congrats to Susan. And to you as well. Thirteen pages to go!

  4. Yay, Susan! It's also wonderful to hear you only have 13 pages to go! That's fantastic!

I'm still in working on the first draft of my current WIP. I've been stuck for a week or so trying to determine how to bridge Point A and Point C in my story, since they are both already written. But I woke up this morning feeling good and refreshed with a few hours to write before I head to work.

  5. Congrats to Susan!

Good luck finishing up your book! I hope it goes well and you have good luck in the querying trenches! That's where I'm at right now. :)

  6. Congrats on nearing the last edit!!!!!

  7. Congratulations to Susan. Thanks for all the links and good luck on winning the books you like.

  8. Thank you... YAY for me! I really appreciate it. And YAY to you, too, Marcy, for getting so close to the end of another winning book. (I have confidence in you.)

  9. Hey Marcy,

Just stopping by to say *thanks* for offering your skills - and time - to help other writers via First Impressions.

I'm signed up to participate in October, but I'm not here to give you an apple :) I just appreciate bloggers who help others out... I wish I could do more here in the Blogisfear, but that whole thing about parenting and three boys keeps getting in the way :)

  10. Amazing how simple it can be to communicate with people and have them understand a certain topic, you made my day.
