My Christmas thoughts

“Peace does not mean an absence of conflicts; differences will always be there. Peace means solving these differences through peaceful means; through dialogue, education, knowledge; and through humane ways.” Dalai Lama XIV

“If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.”

“Dad, how do soldiers killing each other solve the world's problems?”
Bill Waterson Calvin and Hobbs

“When I say it's you I like, I'm talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed.”
Fred Rogers

  7. Merry belated Christmas to you! Those were great quotes - though pretty sad as they highlight the yuckiness that can often be seen in the world.

Here's to a better world in 2015! 2014 had some pretty terrible moments.
