Sunday Pics - Birds
I haven't done one of these in a while but my son the birder sent me a few pics he took so I thought I would share.
The barred owl again. Apparently it has come back to visit my son again. Well. Not him specifically of course, but his yard.

DeleteFantastic photos! Does your son aspire to a career in photography, or does he enjoy it more as a hobby? One of our daughters-in-law has a photography studio in their house, and what started as something she merely enjoyed has become pretty darned lucrative.

The birding is the hobby, and the photography is a way of documenting the hobby, and the birds he 'gets.' I'm sure he'd love to make money taking pics of birds if the opportunity arose.
DeleteThose are great pictures. Surprised you have so many birds around this time of year, but I guess they have to live somewhere.
ReplyDeleteLots of birds stay for the winter, and some come here to winter from even further north. Plus my son goes out looking for them, as well as feeds them (five feeders I think).

DeleteI really like the bits of yellow on the birds, haven't seen them before. that owl is kind of haunting, I think it's the eyes.
