Dodge Point

Dodge Point is a nature preserve on the Damariscotta River. I have taken all my dogs there to walk because it has everything a dog could want. Miles of trails through the woods and over streams, a shore trail that follows the river, or, if it’s low tide, you can actually walk along the shore, which is one of our favorite thing to do on a hot summer’s day.

Wednesday was not one of those (hot summer) days but we still had a great walk and everyone was tired when we came home. Here are a few pics* to prove I did actually tear myself away from my keyboard and went for a good walk – 2 hours worth!

* fyi: the first 2 pics are mine, the last 3 are the son's.

  3. Beautiful area. I really need to start hiking to shed a few pounds and get back in shape. Every time I feel like doing going, it snows again!

  4. That does look like a great place to walk! Beautiful! We enjoyed a great walk with our dog last Sunday, through a local nature preserve along a creek and through the woods ...

But I doubt we'll be doing it this Sunday. Winter is coming back, apparently.
