And the answer is ...

I know. This totally dates me. But frakk it. I don't care. I liked this move. It was funny. And it's still funny - if dated. And if you ever saw it you might remember when johnny five says the line about "questions, queries, and posers..." Not to mention the hilarious line when Fisher Stevens' character says, "I'm sporting a tremendous ..."

But nevermind that, the real reason you're here is to find out who the heck won this week's price in the great give away.

This week's winner is Susan who you can find here. I don't know what she wants but on Friday I'll let you know what she chose as a prize and what's left. Meanwhile, I'm reading THE GIVER by Lois Lowry.
Very interesting. Old school.

What old school/classic have you read recently?

  4. I love Short Circuit! Ally Sheedy and robots. What's there not to like?

The Giver! I taught that a few years ago when I was still in a classroom with 8th graders. It made me cheer and cry. I'm still not sure what really happened at the end. The best part was that the other English teachers and students had so many different interpretations of the ending that created some great discussion.

  5. Congrats to Susan! I have watched Short Circuit and loved it. I even made my son watch it because, even though it's old, it's timeless.

    1. It's a fun movie. Anmd that's what I said about the Giver which is why I finally got it from my library. I am loving it, both as a reader AND an author.

  8. Thanks for the great prize and the link. As for Short Circuit, my boys loved that movie when they were little. Who wouldn't love Johnnie Five? I heard they're doing a remake.
