Dodge Point

Dodge Point is a nature preserve on the Damariscotta River. I have taken all my dogs there to walk because it has everything a dog could want. Miles of trails through the woods and over streams, a shore trail that follows the river, or, if it’s low tide, you can actually walk along the shore, which is one of our favorite thing to do on a hot summer’s day.

Wednesday was not one of those (hot summer) days but we still had a great walk and everyone was tired when we came home. Here are a few pics* to prove I did actually tear myself away from my keyboard and went for a good walk – 2 hours worth!

* fyi: the first 2 pics are mine, the last 3 are the son's.

  1. What a beautiful walk you had! The pics are beautiful! Your son also has a good eye. Couldn't tell who took which.

I so enjoyed your photos I went to the web cam. OMG! Absolutely gorgeous area! I bookmarked the page. Hub's from Manchester. Want to show him all later. Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Is your blog photo yours as well?
I swear, everytime it downloads, the water seems to be moving.

    Beautiful pics.

  3. Fantastic! Loved them. =D

  4. Beautiful area. I really need to start hiking to shed a few pounds and get back in shape. Every time I feel like doing going, it snows again!

  5. That does look like a great place to walk! Beautiful! We enjoyed a great walk with our dog last Sunday, through a local nature preserve along a creek and through the woods ...

But I doubt we'll be doing it this Sunday. Winter is coming back, apparently.

  6. Gorgeous pictures! That looks like a very happy dog :)

  7. kitty;p you're right the son does have a good eye - better than mine, I think.

    happy, sometimes it is :)

huntress; the blog photo is the son's.

tony, I know how you feel; I can't wait for no snow and green.

    dianne; same here :(

carrie; thanks and he was a happy dog!
