just do it. every single day. write. write anything. write about the way light comes in your window or how your cat looks at you sometimes. write about your dog and what you think he may be dreaming when he twitches his legs. write about the house you grew up in or your first crush. write about a girl or a boy or a wizard or king. just write. something. every day.
Very true and I will. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYes. Very important.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree. The other day I wrote job descriptions. Maybe not exactly what I preferred to write, but it was writing just the same.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice, stirring stuff!! Thank you! Take care

I do write every day -- except during vacations. It's become routine, and that's a good thing. You never know what BRILLIANT thing you'll come up with if you don't sit down and write. :)
ReplyDelete:) Yes!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Write on your main WIP if you can, but if you can't, write a line or two on your FaceBook status. Scribble something in your notebook while you're in line at the grocery store and notice something that might make an interesting story or character detail.
ReplyDeleteOr if you can't write, if you feel totally dry, read something to prime the pump.
Yes, I'm an overplanner. I need to get in the habit of just sitting down and writing. Why is it so hard?

Totally agree. Today though my writing has largely been on my blog. ;-) Still, its writing, right? And I love that pic of the little summer house here, can I borrow it for my writing?
ReplyDeleteI started writing everyday when I started my blog. It has been the most awesome experience! Blessings, Joanne
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. If I count work writing, then maybe I can say I do that every single day. :)
ReplyDeleteExactly! Great advice :)
