sunday pics - vacation

This is where I was a few years back, hanging out with some birds on Sanibel Island *sigh*. And in less than 2 weeks (March 21st to be exact) I'll be heading south again. It won't be quite as awesome as Sanibel (I'll be smack dab in the middle of the state) but it will be warm and I should have access to a computer and maybe I can even beat my mom a few times at Scrabble :)

oh, and I'll get to go barefoot!

  4. Had to look up Sanibel Island. So you'll be in sunny Florida! Excellent. Weather should be perfect for barefooted Scrabble. Have a great time.

  9. Have a nice break!

Two of those parrots are Aussies by the way.

The first is a Galah they are very common we see heaps of them wild around here.

The fourth is a Pink Cockatoo (also called a Major Mitchell cockatoo) they are from the desert heart of Oz. You find them in the north part of my state , but I have never seen one in the wild.

  10. These were all rescue birds from people who either didn't want them anymore or couldn't keep them. That last one is a beauty, eh?
