In the phonetic alphabet, Tango represents the letter T. According to Wiki, the Tango dance originated in Rio de la Plata and was first known as tango criollo. Today, there are different types of tango dance such as Argentine tango or Uruguayan tango. Popularly and among tango dancing circles, the authentic tango is considered to be the one which is closest to that originally danced.
Didn't realize there were so many Tango dances. Great choice for "T".

It's is a beautiful dance. Sexy too . . . unless I dance it. ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, the right partner makes all the difference for a good tango I think. :)
ReplyDeleteThey say the tango is one of the most difficult dances to perform correctly, what with all the emotion involved.
ReplyDeletewhat I enjoy about watching the Tango is how in control the female is, the fight that goes on.
ReplyDeletepopped in to say thanks for the visit and sorry I was out - happy A-Zing - we are so nearly at the end:)
I've always wanted to dance the Tango. I took lessons once with my husband (ballroom dancing.) He yelled at me the entire time. "Stop leading!" We never got as far as learning the Tango. Darn it! I wish we did. :(
ReplyDeletethank you all for your comments. I'm sorry you didn't get to SEE the Tango as well as read about as I intended. Apparently blogger decided not to include the video that was part of the post which was there last night when I checked. I may try to find it and re-post - if possible - but I will definitely be letting blogger know they have a problem.
ReplyDeleteI love watching a good tango. I'd never attempt to dance one myself though.
ReplyDeleteokay, I think I got it back - unless blogger takes it away!
ReplyDeleteI think the Tango is one of the most fascinating and beautiful dances. It's definitely the best of the ballroom dances.
