Me, a debut author

As some of you may have heard, I've signed with WiDo publishing for my first book, PARADISE. I have a feeling the title will change since it's not mentioned in the release but I'm not attached to the current title much more than I was the first one I came up with: ALMOST PARADISE. I looked that one up and there are a million books with that title, but none with just Paradise. Anyway. It remains to be seen what my debut will be called but check out the press release. It's almost like I'm somebody. Pretty cool, huh?
just click on the pic which has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. It's just pretty.

  1. That's you in the press release! Bet you're really glad you met Charity now.
Don't stress the title. They'll come up with something good.

    1. Yup that's me in that picture, albeit about 10lbs heavier (my face is so round!) and with shorter hair but yeah :)

    1. I love irises, from the moment they give you that first glimpse of violet until they unfold completely in all their purple glory.

  5. What a great press release! And I know what you mean about attitudes changing concerning traditional big six publishers vs smaller publishers. Blogging has opened my eyes to all sorts of possibilities I never really considered before, including self-publishing.

  7. I'd change the title too, I love memorable titles :) Can't wait to see what you come up with! As a translator I often have to rename books and it's always a fun job :)

    2. Yes, Paradise would the better choice, but I'm ok with something else and I loved the press release, too :)

My title changed as well but I love the one that stuck. Good luck with the process!

  14. A witchy novel, time travel/western, pure sci-fi...and they are only the ones that I know about. I can't think of anyone with your range in genres.

As always and in every way, you have my utmost admiration. You, milady, are an author and one of the best writers I know.

  15. Congratulations! I've heard good things about WiDo and I can't figure out how I didn't already know the premise of your novel. It sounds amazing! Can't wait to read it. I'm all for crossing genres.
