The Underwear Dilemma

Underwear, lingerie, intimates, or small clothes, call them what you will, but most of us wear underwear. Today I'm here asking for your help.

Here's the problem. I used to buy all my underwear from Victoria Secret. They had cute patterns, and they fit great. Unfortunately, VS decided to change its 100% cotton panties to a cotton mix and while the patterns are as cute as ever, they absolutely do not fit like they used to. The problem is they ride up, and there's nothing worse than picking your underwear out of your butt. Am I right?

Now, I'm sure I could find some old lady underwear that would stay put but I'm not that old yet and there has to be someone who makes cute cotton panties (preferably bikini style!) that stay put.So, ladies, tell me, what's your favorite brand of underwear? Or am I the only one who can't find a bloody pair of panties?

Gentlemen, this is for you:)

or maybe you prefer him...

 I know I do ;)

Happy Christmas to everyone who celebrates, and I'll be back next week with more from the pawn shop, including the weird stuff - as requested (Janie I'm lookin' at you!).

  1. I won't comment on your underwear situation, but gentlemen definitely prefer the lady in the first shot!
    Have a Blessed Christmas, Marcy.

  2. I have soooo much trouble on the intimate apparel/Unmentionables front.
Cotton underwear is always best. And don't get me started on finding a comfortable supportive bra - which I don't need to take out another mortgage to buy.
Happy holidays to you and yours.

    1. I am with you on the cotton, which is why I so loved the VS cotton panties. Why did they have to change?!

Happy holidays to you as well :)

  3. I buy the packs that go on sale at Kmart when they have the BOGO sales. But I don't recall the name brand. They don't last long but the also don't ride up in the rear, either.

Pretty colours and patterns, I love those.

Happy Christmas & Happy Winter Solstice.

    2. I think Wally World sells them too, but I do cheapo ones. Which is probably why they don't last as long. Or .. it could be that I'm stretching them out with all the bakes I make, year-round.

Or maybe it's the dryer. Yep, you know, now that I think of it, it's for sure, the dryer.

  4. I've never even been in a Victoria's Secret store. But here's hoping you find the right pair of new undies under the tree. :D

  6. I still order from Victoria Secret (by mail.) But if they got rid of my favorite line, I don't know what I'd do. JC Penney's???

  7. You had me at the title. #snort I love your candidness in this post. I've been pondering for a while whether it was Victoria's fault that their underwear did the ride up or whether my body shape had changed. Hmmm.... You are opening my eyes to a probable answer.

  11. TJ Maxx and Marshall's both sell some nice undies for a reasonable-ish price. All cotton ones aren't ALWAYS in-store, but they do carry them. You just have to be persistent in looking for them. Then again, maybe Dianne has the answer. Order online. Maybe if you do a Google search for all-cotton bikinis, you'll find exactly what you want. Maybe even in a store near you.

    Merry Christmas!

    1. I did a search and came up with slim pickings. I actually bought a pair from one company but they had like ZERO elastic so I wasted my money. yay.

  12. Thanks for the eye candy.

Good luck in your underwear quest. I'm sorry I don't have much advice to offer. Boxer briefs are darn comfortable and, I think, very sexy on a woman.

  14. The title of your post sounds like the title to a fun book....
I've never been a big fan of VS, I find them a tad overpriced....but yeah, a lot of their stuff is cute...but.... I've always preferred comfy fit over wrinkled between butt crack fit. Hope Santa helps you out this year and gets you the perfect undies! Merry Christmas and happy new year!
