Orchids and Masks - The Marie Selby Botanical Garden

As promised, more about my wonderful vacation. Today I want to share some pics I took at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, a city we visited twice. It was almost two hours away, so a bit of a ride, but the gardens were lovely...

First there were orchids...

And then there were the masks, hand carved and painted...

And finally there was this astoundingly beautiful tree...

  1. Some vibrant colors. (And excellent photos.) The masks are wicked cool. Must've been an amazing place if you went twice.

  3. What awesome pics! The last flower pic surprised me - it looks like an oriental slipper plant with all the little shoes with pointed curly toes! And the tree looks like someone put fishing lures on it as a joke - so pretty though. Thanks for sharing! :)

  4. I like gardens, and these are beautiful photos! Love the look of masks, but most of the native ones we have in the Northwest are expensive! Enjoyed the burst of colour.

    1. It looked most of the masks went for hundreds of dollars so, yeah, definitely not cheap!

  5. Beautiful. Compared to what grows where I live, those tropical plants are so exotic. Love visiting botanic gardens like that.
