I am finally done with revision #whatever of GRIMOIRE, my Witchy Regency Romance. Of course, I know that when we say we're finished with our manuscript it almost never means we're really finished. That doesn't happen until our book is on the shelf. Nevertheless, I feel pretty good about what I've accomplished! You can see the query and first chapter here if you're interested.
Meanwhile, can you spot the spy?
Hope you have a fabulous weekend :)
Congratulations! And no, we never really finish.
ReplyDeleteNo, it's an ongoing process.
DeleteYay! Excellent job. It always feels good to get a big project like that done.
ReplyDeleteI'm about two weeks away from finishing my revision too (it's an R & R for an agent that's taken me about three months to do). Fingers crossed I cut all the right stuff. Happy weekend. :)
Ooh, an R&R! That's exciting!
DeleteLike Alex said, we are never finished. I'd go back and change my published books if I could, LOL.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on *finishing*
Yeah, there's some things I'd change too but as that option is closed I'm good with letting it go.
DeleteIt's true that we never really finish with those manuscripts. Some days (most days) I still want to go back and make changes to the one I do have on the shelf.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing your revision. Like L.G. said, it always feels good to get that done.
Yup :)
DeleteGood for you! And no, we're never done with our MS even after its on the shelf.
ReplyDeleteI know even after our books go on shelves we sometimes might want to revise but unless you self-pub, that option isn't open - which is nice in a way because then it means you can't revise and have to work on something else.
DeleteThat's awesome, Marcy! I loved what I'd read (way back when) of GRIMOIRE.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it's a lot better than it was then!
DeleteHuge congratulations. Not finished but a very, very big step. And I read your query and Chapter One, and I lusted after it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! That's great news! You must be so happy and relieved. I hope to be feeling as excited if I ever finish my WIP... Love the cute pic!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a long process - especially for me as I am not a fast writer.
DeleteI once made the mistake of telling family I was "finished" with a manuscript. I'll never do that again!
ReplyDeleteHa! I know what you mean!
DeleteI can spot the spy. And MUCH congrats to You! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely cool :)
DeleteLOL, took me a moment to spot but it is adorable. Well blended.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing, this round at least :)
Thanks :)
DeleteYAY, Marcy! Congrats... Off to read your query and pages now.... will be back...
ReplyDeleteMe again...
ReplyDeleteTerrific beginning! I really enjoyed it, Marcy... I'd love to read more. ALL the best and good luck querying!
Glad you liked and thanks for reading!
DeleteCongratulations! Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI will - once I'm done mowing.
DeleteOoh, I know the feeling - I'm about there. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWow, your query is awesome!
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS! Maybe not "done," but certainly a huge step. And cause for celebration. (A SHORT celebration... then you have to get back to work!)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm already back at work revising something else.
DeleteCongrats!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI admit, that feline spy has finished my school of spying!
