I already posted this once (on the wrong day, duh), but here it is again for anyone who missed it: My theme for this year's A- Z Blogfest is DEATH (who I really hope is like DEATH in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series), and all things surrounding the subject. It's an uncomfortable subject because I don't any of us are all that keen on dying, but it's good sometimes to talk about uncomfortable things I think.

"I meant," said Ipslore bitterly," What is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?" DEATH thought about it. CATS, He said eventually, CATS ARE NICE |
So, what's your theme for A-Z, or are you taking the month off to avoid the madness?
I'm waiting until the big theme reveal day next month for mine.
ReplyDeleteDeath will be really interesting!
Yes, you're right that this is a hard topic for people and something so hard to deal with when you must say that goodbye to someone. Sounds like a great theme.
ReplyDeleteI think I read the rules wrong and that TODAY was theme reveal day. Oops.
ReplyDeleteOh well. I guess I'm early.
I haven't settled on a theme for A to Z yet. I hope to settle on one soon.
ReplyDeleteI know you'll make it interesting.
ReplyDeleteI always thought and hoped Death was just like Pratchett's!!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to get a reality check once in a while. Maybe if we thought more about death, so much of our final paperwork (wills not withstanding) wouldn't be such a mess.
ReplyDeleteI loved Terry Pratchett's take on DEATH, and am looking forward to yours. It comes to us all. Which is just as well since the thought of living forever gives me the cold grues.
ReplyDeleteDeath is one of my favorite characters in the Discworld. I won't have a theme per se. Just the usual, albeit with the proper letter of the alphabet.
ReplyDeleteOh my. I'm intrigued to see how you treat this. And you are right. It's good to address the difficult things.
ReplyDeleteHa! Love that quote. And what a great subject to delve into! Those will be interesting and thought-provoking, I'm sure. I'm not taking the month off, but I'm not participating. I don't think I could post daily! Tons of other Stuff to do--but if I had time it'd be fun. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh! I'm intrigued.
ReplyDeleteboy, did you choose a bright subject :)
ReplyDeleteHm, and yet it's still a mystery what you'll be posting about specifically. Well done! I mean, I know you're doing death, but beyond that... Interesting!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for your theme! (And I think it's fairly safe to assume you'll have the them all to yourself!)
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the wimps who'll be taking the month off, but I hope all of you energetic A-Zers will have a great time with it.
J here, stopping by from the #atozchallenge - where I am part of Arlee Bird's A to Z Ambassador Team.
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice for an A to Z challenge theme. Good job. My theme is the craft of fiction writing. Tips, lessons, and prompts from various writing reference books. I follow it up with a sample of my work.
Your theme is very intriguing. I look forward to reading those posts.
April should be exciting. I'm looking forward to the event. Best of luck to us both on meeting our goals of posting and hopping to other blogs.
My blog has a giveaway. There's a bonus a to z challenge each day to encourage people to visit more stops.

I am excited for your A-Z posts. I wish I'd managed to get my scheisse together to do the MS Paint bible stories, but alas I did not have the time....
ReplyDeleteHi Marcy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog the other day to wish me well. It was really kind of you and extremely unexpected. You're right though- sometimes cutting off the negative things or people is the best option. Thank you for the advice.
I look forward to reading your posts as your latest follower.
Love,
Rachel
