35 days and a Cedar Waxwing oh my!

I'm a bit late posting today thanks to 8 tons of snow currently getting dumped on my state (Maine). Everyone has been advised to stay home unless it's an emergency. They even grounded the plow trucks here for a bit! I think I've shoveled five times since I got up this morning.

That's the end of my driveway down there somewhere...

In other news, there's only 35 days til spring - which seems laughable to even speak of in light of today's weather - and I have two more bird pics to share, much thanks to my son for sharing.

Cedar Waxwing - tell me he isn't beautiful
Mr. Cardinal - don't you love his crest?

Last but not least, I've sent my manuscript, currently titled BELL, BLACK, & BRIAR off to be read and we shall see what comes of that, so there's one goal met. Go me!

Now, how are you doing? Got weather?

  3. Congrats on sending out your MS. I hope the snow lets up soon. We've had some rain. Which is good. Until freeways get closed due to being underwater and dams fail. But it's warm and sunny today, so I'll wish you the same real soon.

    1. It's about done now (5:45p) but they still haven't plowed my road...not that I can get of my driveway.

  4. Our weather looks an awful lot like yours - except we had out 20 inches over the last few days. I hear you're getting hit pretty hard now. Take care!!!
And yay on the ms! :)

  5. Sorry you have so much snow. We don't have any, and it was 45 today. And it's going to be even warmer this weekend.

  8. Wow, here in the UK we moan if we get a few snowflakes and more than an inch we grind to a halt. Lovely pictures of the birds - so colourful. Good luck with your manuscript.

  9. I wish I could spot a cedar waxwing, but we do enjoy a plethora of lovely cardinals and redwing blackbirds in this Miami Valley part of drab Ohio USA.

  10. Great bird photos! This is my third winter back south, if you can call it winter, but I did take a trip back to Michigan and it wasn't even winter there, with just a little snow (I miss the snow).
