L is for...lies

I used to be better at lying. When I was a teenager, if I wanted to have any fun, I had to lie to get it. So I got good at it. Not great, mind you but good enough to have some fun now and again. Now, I can't lie to save my life. My face is a dead give away to the smallest untruth I may utter. But when I write...oh, boy can I still lie with the best of them.
Today, I'd like to introduce you some other liars whose work I've had the pleasure of reading:

Dianne all I can say is, just wait 'til you meet Evie. You are so going to love her; she's a wicked good liar, too.
Sheri Marked Beauty has been through a revision or two since I last read it but I'm sure Ana and Viktor will be just as intriguing.
Huntress there's no doubt in my mind that anyone who likes fantasy will love Justus and Sable's story.
Alex author of Cassastar and its as yet unfinished sequel which I can't wait to read.

  1. Hey Marcy!! Thanks for the mention. I have to say, Ana and Viktor share a new misguided and masked lie. :)

  2. I suck at lying, according to my husband. So I don't even bother trying. But man can I lie when I write. I guess we're saving ourselves to lie when it's works to our advantage. ;)

  6. Funny -- this is the second post on lying I've read today!

And thanks for mentioning my favorite little liar, Evie! I am a terrible liar myself. Recently, I had to lie to extricate my daughter and myself from a really, really boring social event. I was kind of embarrassed, lying in front of my daughter. As we finally escaped, I defended myself to my kid, saying, "Evie would have done it, too."

My daughter replied, "Evie would have done it SOONER, mom!"
