this is what you do...

...when you don't have your computer:

You clean.

I tried to mow instead but my lawn mower broke, too (Yeah. Things aren't going really well here).

Anyway, I was forced indoors so I cleaned, like really cleaned, like I even got the cobwebs in the corners, removed screens, washed glass, etc. But even so, it was still only 3 o'clock on Saturday and I had no idea what to do with myself.

My son said maybe it's a good thing, being without my my computer. He says, maybe I'll get a really great idea. I wanted to say, but I already have a bunch of great ideas. I just need to finish them EXCEPT THEY'RE ALL ON MY EFFING COMPUTER!!!

But I didn't.

Instead I baked a chocolate cake.

And had it for breakfast Sunday morning.

What did you do this weekend?

  1. You did get a lot accomplished, but I understand the desire to get the ideas out of the computer.

I had my AC unit die and family and I ended up in Virginia. Husband dangled let's go to the movies in less than 5min daughter received txt. Her plans had changed, which changed ours. It was a week to be over heated and deflated, I guess.

    Chocolate cake...sounds like what I need ;D

  2. I read an excellent book, and that's usually what I do when I don't have my computer. Cleaning ... not on my list.

  5. You're more motivated than me - I just play guitar when the computer is down.

I sold tie dye shirts at a festival and got some writing done.

  7. Well, if your computer is still out of commission, you can always come to my house. I've got lots of cleaning projects that have been put on hold. I'll even throw in a pair of rubber gloves and a face mask. :)

  8. @L.G. Smith -- snicker, snicker. I thought you were going to offer Marcy the use of your computer! :D

Marcy, what's the word? Can they recover anything from your hard drive?
