The trip home

As promised, a few more pics from the whale watch I went on. These are from the trip home.




Supposedly the sailors used to call seals sea dogs but I think they should be called sea puppies since they're so cute. Don't you agree? Anyway, if you ever get up this way I highly recommend you go on one of these excursions because even if you don't see anything, just being out on the water on a beautiful summer's day is worth every penny. Enjoy your holiday if you've got it and I'll see you all Wednesday with our first first impression for the month.     Beautiful blue!!! I love being on the water, and that looked like a wonderful trip! I definitely think they should be called sea puppies for cuteness.

    Sea puppies it is ... with bad breath. Your pictures are wonderful and make me wonder how I can possibly yearn for a place I've never been. I do miss being out on the water, and Maine looks like it's overflowing with charm and personality. (Or maybe that's just because you take such beautiful pictures.)

    I grew up in Mass and your pics really took me back. New England is so beautiful. I love the forests, the colonial architecture and even the weather. Great pics, great post! :-)

    Great pics all! I wish you'd gotten a pic of a dolphin but you did a great job on the whales. It's hard to really capture sea-life without having and underwater camera and being... underwater.

    Sounds like a great job to me! (And besides, you have to have the green energy!)
