What books did you love?
WOW. I'm a s-l-o-w reader, so I can't imagine reading more than 1 a month. I'm about halfway through King's 11/22/63 and enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteI want to read that SK book. I loved The Dome.
DeleteI didn't count the ones I read this year. Maybe in 2013?*competition in the making :)*
ReplyDeleteAre these Kindle/ereader versions or paper and glue?
And another thing. Did you turn me onto The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong? I don't remember who recommended this series but holy cats, they are an excellent read.
I don't have an e-reader so those were all real books. Wasn't me who recommended The Summoning but I'll keep it in mind for 2013 :)
DeleteI'm impressed! I don't think I even read half as many because I'm a really slow reader.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky I'm a fast reader :)
DeleteAnother really slow reader here. I think I managed about twenty or so for the year. I liked The Night Circus, but my favorite of the year was The Scorpio Races. Brilliant book. Also really enjoyed The Blade Itself. Ooh, and The Graveyard Book is on my TBR list for 2013. Good list!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the second book as much as the first (The First Law Trilogy) :)
DeleteHoly crap, that's impressive. I haven't read fiction in over a year now. But I do keep my head in many cookery books.
ReplyDeleteCheers and boogie boogie.
what?! No fiction?! We must find something for you...
DeleteI have Diary of a Wimpy Kid waiting for me from LAST year. Then I bought the new one.
DeleteTerrible, I haven't read.
I'm so impressed. How do you keep track of your books? A simple piece of paper, Goodreads or something else? I can never remember, but I'd love a list of books I read over the years. Still haven't read Night Circus but plan to this year. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI have a file on my computer for my blog posts. They don't all make it there but I do try to keep track of the books I've read.
Deletethat is almost one book for every week :) Some of those books from your list are being made into movies in the future :)
ReplyDeleteI know; I hope they get made into GOOD movies!
DeleteWhen I think back and try to remember books that really stood out for me, I can only think of two --
ReplyDeleteHousekeeping by Marylinne Robinson
and
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers
and oh yes,
The Razor's Edge by Somserset Maugham
Sadly, I don't think I've read any of the books on your list. But then, I don't really care for the best sellers or anything new for that matter. But even more sadly, I don't even know if these were best sellers. :(
A friend just gave me some of her old books and so maybe I can begin to catch up.
Some were bestsellers, but the majority were not.
DeleteYou read a ton of books this year! Congratulations and great list.
ReplyDeleteI read more books this year than last so that makes me happy.
DeleteI loved A Monster Calls. Have you read his Chaos Walking series? AWESOME books!! Great job on all the books this year!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great book. I'll have to check out Chaos Walking. Thanks!
DeleteYou are a reading star, seriously. I can't say I've read half that since I am soooo slow with reading.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Givin' Up the Ghost by Gwen Gardner, Katana by Cole Gibson and Grave Mercy by Robin Lafevers.
I want to read Grave Mercy.
DeleteWhoa!! That is awesome! I am going to come back to this...my resolutions are posting tomorrow and reading more is one of them!
ReplyDeleteThat's my goal, to read at least one more book each year. That means next year I need to read at least 45... I better get busy, eh?
DeleteYou've been busy!
ReplyDeleteI say many thanks to Mr. admin website I read this, because in this website I know a lot of information information that I did not know before his
