Sunday pics

I know, I haven't had one in a while, but I splurged and bought this Christmas cactus a few weeks ago and it decided to bloom.

      It's still too cold here to put anything outside but I can't wait to get some flowers for my porch.

      Well, I did choose it because it had a ton of buds just waiting to burst open...but it sure is spectacular!

    So beautiful! I am in MN and we still have snow on the ground. I can't wait to see some blooms outside. Happy Sunday!

    it's lovely when cactuses bloom, they usually do that once in a few years :)

      Supposedly the Christmas cactus blooms twice a year, at Christmas and at Easter. At least my mom's do but she has a way with plants and I do not so we'll see if mine survives me!

    It's beautiful and what's interesting is I just came home from the grocery store and noticed the cactus up the drive is blooming and realized this is the time when a lot of cactus here in the desert start to bloom - it's absolutely gorgeous this time of year. :)
