I love California. I may have grown up on the East Coast but my heart is in California. I only lived there for two years but I will be forever wanting to go back. Some of you have seen this before but it's still one of my favorite pics. I took it last November while visiting my sister in Oakland.
Enjoy your Sunday :)
Now that is striking with the light behind it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it?
DeleteThat color purple is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous color. I love purple.
DeleteLove the picture. Purple's my favorite color. And your header is great too.
ReplyDeletethe header is a close up of my Christmas cactus when it was in full bloom. What a treat it was :)
DeleteThe flowering trees in California and Florida always seem so exotic to this Colorado girl.
ReplyDeletedon't be sad, Luanne, I'd rather take Colorado snow than California's scorching sun :)
DeleteYou two can keep winter; just give me summer!
DeleteThings have definitely been in bloom around here lately -- but we're looking forward to our annual week in Maine this summer. Vacationland, right?
ReplyDeleteRight, Vacationland. I sometimes forget that's what they call Maine. If only it was summer all year round *sigh* then it would be paradise.
Deletebeautiful little flower, gorgeous pic! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never been to California but that might change in the next few years.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to live there.
DeleteHope you had a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. I LOOOOOVVEE both of these flowers. The one in your post and your new banner.
ReplyDeleteFantastic.
I would LOVE to see that coast of our country. I got as close to it as AZ. I should have made the track into CA and seen the Pacific. Maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteCalifornia is a dream.
DeleteI feel the same about California. We lived in the Bay Area for 4 years. My ideal place to live would be Monterey.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I agree with Karen. I love Monterey. Hey, M! How are you doing? Thanks for sharing. Considering I live in Cali, in a small town just south of Fresno, you know I had to stop and see the photo. Thanks for sharing. We actually did get a spring this year. Sometimes it seems that winter just ended when suddenly Blam! - heat. Thankfully we had several weeks of cool temps and lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
-Jimmy
Hi, Marcy,
ReplyDeleteThat pic is GORGEOUS.... AND, so is your new header. I adore flowers... Central Florida is finally ablaze with flowers.... All the bougainvillea, azalea, and oleander are in bloom... SO pretty.
I leave for Chicago on Sunday... Winter seems to be lingering there. I go back to 50's weather EEEEEEEEEEEK! As usual it will fluctuate twenty to thirty degrees daily. Such a STRANGE city ... weather wise,
